Abstract:

Nowadays, the necessity of accurate quantitative decision support methods is becoming a critical subject for managers as rivalry between organizations caused a more fragile economic environment and brand reputation is becoming more important. Furthermore, dealing with incidents after they happened is not accepted by customers anymore. Managers require powerful decision making tools to support them in handling crisis situations, and also protecting their brand reputation and image of their organization. In this paper a new multi-objective programing model for disaster preparedness planning problem has been developed to deal with the negative impacts of a specific disaster on the organization’s key functions with uncertain properties. Finally, a heuristic sensitivity analysis approach is proposed in order to validate the results.

A fuzzy multi-objective model for logistic planning in disaster relief operations

Disasters can cause many casualties and considerable destruction mainly because of ineffective preventive measures, incomplete preparedness, and weak relief logistics systems. After catastrophic events happen, quick and effective response is of great importance, so as to having an efficient logistic plan for distributing needed relief commodities efficiently and fairly among affected people. In...

A Multi Objective Geometric Programming Model for Optimal Production and Marketing Planning

This paper presents a multi objective geometric programming model which determines the product`s selling price in two markets. We assume demand is a function of price and marketing expenditure in two markets. The cost of production is also assumed to be a function of demands in both markets. Our model is a posynomial function which is solved using Geometric Programming (GP). In our GP implement...

A Fuzzy Multi Objective Programming Model for Power Generation and Transmission Expansion Planning Problem

The increasing consumption of electricity over time forces different countries to establishnew power plants and transmission lines. There are various crisp single-objective mathematicalmodels in the literature for the long-term power generation and transmission expansion planning tohelp the decision makers to make more reasonable decisions. But, in practice, most of the parametersassociated wit...
